How to Choose an AI Talking Video Model for Your First Clip

A product launch needs a short introduction. A course needs a teacher on screen. You have the words, but filming another take means finding a quiet room, setting up the camera and getting through the script again.

An AI talking video can start with a portrait and a voice recording instead. The useful question is which model will turn those materials into a clip you would actually publish.

For an ordinary, single-speaker video, start with a photo lip-sync model. We made an eight-second lesson introduction in LipSyncX to show what that looks like, using the same portrait and recording with two available models.

Can a photo become a convincing presenter?

The presenter below began as one still image: a fictional art teacher sitting in a studio. We paired it with a recorded lesson opening:

Welcome to lesson three. You have already completed the first two exercises. Today, we will work on a new character design.

The still portrait used to make both lesson introductions, before any mouth or head movement was generated

This is the kind of short introduction you might put before a screen recording, a product demonstration or the first slide of a lesson. The face gives the opening a presenter; the rest of the video can show the work.

If you already have a voiceover, the talking-photo tool accepts an audio upload. If you only have a script, its text input lets you create speech first. You do not need to film a new take just to put a person on screen.

Which model should you try for a talking video?

For a single portrait and a short voiceover, LipsyncX 2.0 Fast is a practical starting point. Here is the lesson introduction it generated:

LipsyncX 2.0 Fast: the eight-second lesson introduction

LipsyncX 2.0 Pro gives you another version to consider with the same materials. That matters when the face will be prominent in an ad, course introduction or presenter-led explanation.

LipsyncX 2.0 Pro: the same portrait and eight-second recording

Watch the clips at the size you intend to publish. Does the delivery feel comfortable? Does the mouth distract you from the sentence? Would you keep watching if this were the opening of your lesson?

Those are more useful decisions than choosing from model names alone. Keep the version that suits the person, voice and purpose of your video. These are two short examples made by the LipSyncX team, using an AI-generated presenter and synthesized narration.

How much does a short talking video cost?

For these examples, the model name did not change the bill. Both used the 480p setting and the same eight-second audio file.

ExampleAudio lengthSettingCredits charged
LipsyncX 2.0 Fast8 seconds480p20
LipsyncX 2.0 Pro8 seconds480p20

Generation and prices were checked on October 14, 2026. The 480p rate used here bills in five-second units, so the eight-second recording uses two units. The tool shows the total quote before you generate.

A short draft is helpful while you are still changing the wording. If the product name sounds wrong or the opening sentence drags, you can fix it before paying to generate the full introduction again.

LipSyncX offers one-time credit packs, with no required monthly subscription. That makes it possible to make a course opening or occasional product clip without taking on a recurring plan.

What if you need two speakers or already have footage?

A portrait introducing a product is a single-speaker job. A conversation between two people needs a different setup; LipSyncX also offers Multi model options for that workflow.

If you have already filmed the presenter and want to use a different voice track, start with the video lip-sync workflow. You can work from the footage you already have, rather than rebuilding the presenter from a photograph.

For a product ad, the talking clip can be just the opening. Follow it with the product in use. For a course, follow the teacher's introduction with the screen recording or demonstration. The presenter does not have to fill every second of the finished video.

FAQ

Can I download without the LipSyncX watermark?

A successful credit top-up unlocks downloads without the LipSyncX watermark for existing and future videos. Generating another video still uses credits.

What happens if a render fails?

The pricing policy says a provider-side failed render returns the charged credits to your balance. That is a credit return, separate from a cash refund.

Put your own introduction on screen

Bring a portrait and the first few lines of your script to the LipSyncX talking-photo tool. You can upload a recording or start from text, check the quote and create a short opening before committing to the rest of the video.
